I was born in South Korea and grew up on the East Coast before moving to Los Angeles when I was nine. I’ve been married to my wife Teresa for 11 years, and we have two amazing kids, Lauren and Dylan. While I was in college, a business opportunity came up that I couldn’t pass on. I took advantage of it and from day one, I found myself getting more passionate about it. Over time, I not only fell in love with the work but also with the Pacific Palisades community and everything it represents.

Let’s Share Your Story

Tell us a little about yourself. Where did your story begin, and what led you to the Palisades?

I was born in South Korea and grew up on the East Coast before moving to Los Angeles when I was nine. I’ve been married for 11 years, and we have two amazing kids. While I was in college, a business opportunity came up that I couldn’t pass on. I took advantage of it and from day one, I found myself getting more passionate about it. Over time, I not only fell in love with the work but also with the Pacific Palisades community and everything it represents.

How long have you lived or worked here — and what do you love most about it?

I have owned PGC for 21 years.

Tell us about your work or your passion — past, present, or future. What lights you up?

Waking up early to head into work is something I genuinely enjoy. Being around our incredible team and seeing the familiar faces of our customers brings me a lot of joy. I can honestly say I love what I do.

Tell us a little about your family, community or what “home” means to you.

I may not live in Pacific Palisades, but it truly feels like a second home. I’ve met so many great people here, and there’s something about this town that just puts me at ease every time I’m here.

What’s something unique or special about the Palisades that you’ve experienced firsthand?

I had never heard of Pacific Palisades before the first time I set foot here. I couldn’t believe a place with such a small-town feel still existed in Los Angeles! It’s truly a one-of-a-kind community. Charming, welcoming, and unlike anywhere else in the city.

Community Favorites

Is/Was there a local business that makes you feel nostalgic or rooted here?

As someone in the restaurant industry, I always loved going to Mort’s Deli. I have some great memories from that place, and even though it closed before the fires, it’s a business I’ll always miss.

Who’s the most interesting or inspiring person you’ve met here in the Palisades?

Everyone I’ve met in this town has been unique and interesting in their own way. I’ve had the chance to connect with so many great people along the way.

Fire Reflection

Was there someone — a neighbor, local hero, or group — that really made a difference for you during or after the fires?

I can’t single out one person. This was a team effort and everyone showed their own kind of heroism.

What did the experience teach you about the Palisades or about yourself?

I always knew Palisadians were strong and resilient, but the fires truly confirmed it. This community shows up for each other in every way possible.

A Few Fun Ones

What advice would you give to others — in life, work, or being a good neighbor?

Work hard, always be willing to help others, and be kind to everyone.

What’s something about you that would surprise most people?

I’ve never thought of myself as particularly interesting but I’ve got stories, just like everyone else.

Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

In 5 to 10 years, I’d love to be driving down Sunset Blvd, seeing how the rebuild has brought Pacific Palisades back to being one of the most beautiful towns in Los Angeles—just like it always was!
